How it all started...
In June 2017, GFA Pantry was founded by the pastor at The Assembly in Gentry to support struggling families within the church. It started with a small table of canned goods in the back of the Worship Center. As the need from the local community grew, the pantry quickly outgrew that table in the back of the Worship Center.

Expanding our vision...
As the need continued to grow, GFA Pantry moved from a table at the back of the Worship Center to the Community Room. During the Covid Pandemic the need continued to grow and we served an average of 40-50 families weekly. Today, GFA Pantry is still a completely volunteer-run organization. We serve approximately 75-90 households each week from Gentry, Decatur, Gravette, Siloam Springs, and surrounding areas in Eastern Oklahoma and Southwest Missouri.
Looking to the future...
As the needs of our community continue to grow, we have outgrown our current space and require more room to effectively serve those in need. Thanks to the generosity of grants and donations, we’ve been able to upgrade our equipment and appliances. However, to continue meeting the increasing demand, we are prayerfully considering expanding into our own dedicated space. We invite you to join us in this mission, helping us secure a place that will allow us to better serve and support those facing food insecurity.
